Artist Statement

Alexander Mendoza is a Florida-based visual artist who specializes in working with many processes, such as 3D modeling, CG, videography, photography, digital illustration, and AI visualization. His art practice revolves around experimental world-building, creating environments, characters, and creatures that harbor natural and technological elements.

Through his art, Mendoza explores the relationship between humans, nature, and technology. He's interested in how these elements interact with each other and how they shape our world. By merging natural and technological elements in his creations, he creates a dialogue between the two and encourages viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world.

Mendoza's love for music, particularly electronic dance music, also inspires him to push the boundaries of visualizing sound using his artistic abilities. He is fascinated by the connection between music and visual art and aims to capture the essence of the music and translate it into a visual medium that is both engaging and stimulating. His exploration of audio visualizers is a direct result of his interest in the visual representation of music.

Recently, Mendoza has been tapping into audio visualizers and the world of Blender, learning how to incorporate sound and visual effects into his projects. He's been experimenting with the powerful 3D creation software Blender, which has allowed him to create a unique and immersive experience that is both visually and audibly stimulating. His pieces often feature dynamic and intricate visuals that are synchronized with the music, creating a multisensory experience that transports the viewer to another world.
